AGORA 2024
"Towards a Reliable Future: AI Roadmap", sets AEGEE on a mission to explore AI ethics and its societal impact. We are delving into AI Ethics with five core pillars: society, individuals, work, education, and youth. Our audience spans professionals, students, government officials, and industry experts. We aim to raise awareness, facilitate discussions, and promote ethical AI practices.
From October 2023 to September 2024, we'll host events, conferences, advocacy efforts, and a social media campaign.

AI's Influence on Society
The first event will examine the significant influence of AI on various aspects of society, including healthcare, transportation, and governance while addressing ethical concerns. Industry professionals from different backgrounds will provide insights, followed by a networking session for further informal discussions.
AI and the World of Work
This event will focus on the evolving impact of AI on the workforce, covering topics such as job displacement, labour rights, and responsible AI usage in workplaces. It will include expert discussions, a panel on AI developments in the field of work, and a lecture on AI's future influence on job opportunities and the changing labour market, building upon the organization's well-attended annual business review.
AI in Education
The third event will explore AI's impact on education, covering personalized learning, the future of classrooms, and ethical considerations. It will feature presentations from professors discussing opportunities and challenges of AI in education, as well as pathways for individuals interested in AI, promoting dialogue between students and educational experts.
AI and Individuals
The fourth event will examine AI's influence on individuals, particularly in personalization, healthcare, and daily routines, while addressing ethical concerns related to data privacy and responsible AI. It aims to introduce user-friendly AI tools and discuss their impact on creativity and daily life enhancement.
AI and Youth: Shaping the Future
The final pre-event will focus on AI's role in shaping the future for youth, covering education, career prospects, and the responsibility of preparing young people for an AI-driven world. It aims to promote ethical education, responsible AI citizenship, and greater youth engagement in AI decision-making, serving as a precursor to the central conference in April 2024.
MAIN CONFERENCE
The project's main focus is a 5-day conference in Novi Sad from April 23 to 28, 2024, gathering over 800 young people and professionals to discuss the ethical application of AI and its impact on society, work, education, and youth. The conference aims to build upon conclusions from previous events, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and knowledge exchange to address AI's ethical challenges and encourage youth to spread these insights in their communities.

The conference aims to integrate conclusions from previous pre-events, offering a holistic view of AI's impact on humanity's future. Participants from diverse backgrounds will collaborate to address open questions, fostering dialogue, knowledge exchange, and actionable solutions to navigate the ethical challenges posed by AI's advancement. Young Europeans attending the conference will spread key takeaways to their communities, aiming to encourage further development in the field and engage youth in ethical discussions related to AI in work, society, and education.
